BÉNITIER EN ARGENT MASSIF - XIXe SIÈCLE. Petit bénitier mural en argent massif, richement travaillé en relief. La partie supérieure présente une scène de Crucifixion, le Christ en croix accompagné de deux figures agenouillées, encadrées de deux saints debout. L'ensemble est surmonté d'un motif rayonnant évoquant la colombe du Saint-Esprit, sous une draperie. La partie inférieure forme la vasque à eau bénite, ornée en repoussé de rinceaux, volutes et motifs feuillagés, autour d'un médaillon central laissé vierge.

Belle qualité de ciselure et de relief, avec une iconographie religieuse particulièrement dense malgré les petites dimensions de l'objet. Poinçon Minerve, 2e titre, correspondant à l'argent à 800?

SOLID SILVER HOLY WATER STOUP - 19th CENTURY. Small wall-mounted holy water stoup in solid silver, richly worked in relief.

The upper section shows a Crucifixion scene, with Christ on the cross accompanied by two kneeling figures, framed by two standing saints. The whole is surmounted by a radiant motif evoking the dove of the Holy Spirit, beneath a drapery.

The lower section forms the holy water basin, repoussé decorated with scrolls, volutes and foliate motifs, around a blank central medallion. Fine quality of chiseling and relief, with particularly dense religious iconography despite the object's small dimensions. Minerva hallmark, second standard, corresponding to 800 silver.
